By using the Site or the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

  • Contact information you provide directly, such as your name, mailing address, email address, and mobile phone number, when you sign a petition, sign up for updates, donate, or otherwise engage with us.
  • SMS/text messaging information, including your mobile number and any information you provide when opting in to receive text messages from us.
  • Voter and public record information that we may obtain from public voter files, campaign finance disclosures, and other publicly available or commercially licensed databases, and combine with the information you provide to us.
  • Donation and payment information, if you make a contribution, which may be processed by a third-party payment processor (see Section 4).
  • Automatically collected information when you visit the Site, such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring URLs, and pages visited, typically gathered through cookies and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Send you updates, advocacy alerts, event invitations, fundraising requests, and other communications by mail, email, phone, and text message;
  • Process donations and maintain donor records as required by applicable campaign finance and tax law;
  • Analyze and improve the effectiveness of our outreach, including audience targeting and message testing;
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and reporting obligations; and
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site.

3. SMS / Text Messaging Program

If you opt in to receive text messages from PAECF:

  • You are providing your prior express written consent to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from PAECF and its vendors at the mobile number provided.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Consent to receive text messages is not required as a condition of any donation or purchase.
  • You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. You may opt back in by texting START.
  • For help, reply HELP or contact us at [SUPPORT EMAIL / PHONE].
  • Supported carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your mobile number and consent will not be shared with unaffiliated third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We retain records of consent, including the date, time, and method of opt-in, as required to demonstrate compliance with the federal Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and applicable Pennsylvania law, including the Telemarketer Registration Act as amended by SB 992.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers and vendors who perform functions on our behalf, such as texting platforms, email service providers, payment processors, printers, and digital advertising vendors, under agreements that restrict their use of your information to providing services to us;

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal and reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children’s Privacy

The Site and Services are not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it.

8. Your Choices

  • Text messages: Reply STOP to any text to unsubscribe.
  • Email: Click “unsubscribe” at the bottom of any email.
  • Cookies: You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though some Site features may not function properly.

9. Do Not Track

Our Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
